About Us

We are the Don’t Hibernate people!

LOGO LARGE BORDER

Active in Lacombe County & City since 1978, this non-profit society publishes a community activity guide called Don’t Hibernate that encourages adults and families to stay engaged in learning throughout the year and throughout a lifetime!

Lacombe Lifelong Learning is also the home of the Adult Literacy Program, helping people understand, speak, read and write English for free.

One of 82 Community Adult Learning Councils in Alberta, the County of Lacombe Lifelong Learning Association is primarily funded by Alberta Advanced Education & Technology, and is supported also by membership fees, gifts-in-kind, donations, and advertising in the Don’t Hibernate brochure.

Our goal is to provide affordable learning and community development opportunities to adults living in the County of Lacombe, the towns and villages of Alix, Bentley, Blackfalds, Clive, Eckville, Mirror and Tees, and the City of Lacombe.

If you or someone you know can use our help with English, or if you have a request or suggestion for courses, please don’t hesitate to call us at 403-782-7955 or email Register@LacombeLifelongLearning.com!
